About Wine and Wooly Design

Hi and welcome to the Alpaca Yarn Farm, home of Wine and Wooly Design. 

My husband Larry and I have a small farm on the Olympic Peninsula.  Chickens were our gateway animal to having a farm.  Over a decade ago we decided we wanted fresh eggs.  6 chickens and 1 rooster later, we had fresh eggs.  In 2015 we had the opportunity to purchase 5 acres about 2 miles away as the crow flies.  We jumped in!  In February 2016 we adopted our first two alpacas, Parker (the white one) and Guinness (the black one).  Then a year later we brought Max home (I couldn’t say no to that face!)

In 2018 we added our first rescues to the herd with 2 pygora (pigmy angora) goats.  Then in 2022, Larry announced he wants to clear property, get more goats.  Who am I to say no?  We rescued four more goats!!

I love our little farm.  Please reach out to schedule a visit.  Take a farm tour, feed the goats and alpacas, go on an egg hunt.  Stop by the farm store for handmade items, custom dyed yarn and roving.  We have unique products made by other local artist as well.
